Vietnamese architecture in a changing landscape: innovation beyond appearances

Vietnam is entering a new phase of development, bringing profound changes to the way we imagine our cities, buildings and living spaces. Rapid urbanization, the push for greener development, climate change, digital transformation and evolving lifestyles are creating new challenges for the architecture sector.

Today, a building is judged by more than its appearance or the boldness of its design. Sustainability, adaptability, efficiency, quality of life and a strong sense of identity are becoming just as important in shaping the places where people live and work.

Viglacera Tien Son offers a portfolio of building material solutions designed for sustainability and adaptability to changing climate conditions.

Technology is also changing how architecture is conceived and brought to life. AI, digital simulation and next-generation materials are expanding the creative possibilities available to architects. At the 15th National Architecture Students Festival, organized by the Vietnam Association of Architects in April 2026, the intersection of architecture with technology, AI, virtual reality and advanced building materials was identified as a key focus.

In this context, materials are no longer simply the finishing layer of a building. They increasingly shape design concepts, functionality, performance and a project’s ability to adapt over time. This is where the worlds of architects and material manufacturers are coming together more closely.

Viglacera Tien Son continues its partnership with the Vietnam Association of Architects to create new value

Viglacera Tien Son’s relationship with the Vietnam Association of Architects extends well beyond a single event. Over the years, the company has taken part in professional programs, exhibitions, seminars and initiatives for the architecture community—building a more meaningful connection between material manufacturers and the people who shape our spaces.

Continuing this partnership, Viglacera Tien Son joined the Association at its 11th National Congress and the 2026 Vietnam Architecture Exhibition. The occasion not only carried forward a long-standing relationship; it also gave the company an opportunity to deepen its engagement with architects, hear how the profession is evolving and share the contribution that building materials can make to contemporary architecture.

Backed by continued investment in advanced manufacturing, research and development, Viglacera Tien Son has built a materials ecosystem that includes Viglacera Tiles, United Tiles, Eurotile, premium Viglacera glazed roof tiles, Vasta Stone sintered stone and Viglacera autoclaved aerated concrete. Its products offer a wide range of sizes, finishes, functions and design styles, giving architects more room to bring their ideas to life.

Viglacera Tien Son’s role goes beyond supplying products. The company aims to work alongside architects from the earliest material decisions, exploring solutions that better meet a project’s needs for function, aesthetics, durability and greener development.

Built over many years, the partnership between Viglacera Tien Son and the Vietnam Association of Architects continues to grow in a changing landscape. It brings technology, materials and architectural thinking together to help create buildings that reflect the character of a modern Vietnam.
